FitEx – Virginia Cooperative Extension

Virginia Cooperative Extension’s web-based 8-week program (starting April 2nd) is back for its third year to help you get motivated and moving!

FitEx is an online goal-setting and tracking website (for physical activity as well as fruit and vegetable consumption) that includes 8 weekly newsletters filled with recipes, motivational quotes, and suggestions on keeping your group moving and eating healthfully. The program will start April 2nd and run through May 27th, and registration is open now! We’re using a similar site as last year, and the development team has been hard at work making sure the site runs smoothly!

Team Captains will once again be asked to recruit 5 other people to make a 6-member team (preferably 6, teams can be as small as 4, and no larger than 8). There is NO FEE this year as well!

FitEx 2017

A survey will be sent out once the program begins to see if there is interest in a “walk-and-talk” group on Wednesday evenings from 5:00-5:30 starting at the Gloucester Extension office (starting on the 5th of April, if there’s enough interest)!

Team captains can register their team at www.fit-ex.org (click on participant sign-up), and invite the rest of the team by email (once you’ve registered, go to “team settings” and there will be an invitation link you can send by email to your teammates!).

Contact Glenn Sturm at gjsturm@vt.edu or 804-693-2602 for more information!
