National Child Abuse Prevention Month & Pinwheels for Prevention

National Child Abuse Prevention Month is a time to acknowledge the importance of families and communities working together to prevent child abuse and neglect, and to promote the social and emotional well-being of children and families. During the month of April, communities are encouraged to share child abuse and neglect prevention awareness strategies and activities and promote prevention across the country.

The pinwheel serves as the national symbol for child abuse prevention. The pinwheel, an uplifting symbol of childhood, represents efforts to ensure the healthy development of children, while recognizing that child development is a building block for community and economic development.

TRHF has continued to be a champion of child abuse prevention here in Gloucester, helping to inform the community and raise awareness!
