The Virginia Institute of Marine Science (VIMS) is hosting a beach cleanup as their United Way Day of Caring project on Friday, September 15th. 20-30 volunteers are needed to assist with the cleanup efforts! A cookout lunch will be provided and participants are encouraged to bring their swimsuits to enjoy the beach and river afterwards. In addition to VIMS’ cookout, United Way is hosting a Day of Caring Kickoff Breakfast at 7:30 a.m. at the Jamestown 4-H Club located at 3751 4-H Club Rd, Williamsburg, VA 23185. All participants are invited but attendance it not required.
