Bridges Out of Poverty Presentation

On Oct. 23rd, from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Literacy Volunteers of Gloucester will be hosting a Bridges Out of Poverty presentation at Abingdon Episcopal Church, FREE and open to the public! This is an opportunity to hear Betsy Wampler, RCC Adult Career Coach, speak about the challenges many people in our community face in their daily lives. There is a way out of poverty and it frequently begins with education. Come learn how you can make a difference in your community!

Gloucester Candidates’ Forum

The Gloucester County Democratic Committee and Severn Republican Women are co-sponsoring a Candidate Forum on Tuesday, October 24th, at the Gloucester Moose Lodge (6565 Moose Drive, Gloucester). Candidates for the House of Delegates, 98th District, will be present – Democratic Candidate Sheila Crowley and Republican Candidate Keith Hodges. Doors open at 6:30 and the Forum begins at 7:00. 2nd Annual Helping the Homeless Silent Auction and Benefit Dinner

The Second Annual Helping the Homeless Silent Auction and Benefit Dinner will be taking place THIS Saturday, from 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM at the Gloucester Moose Lodge! 100% of proceeds will benefit those who are homeless and in need!

Salvation Army Angel Tree Program

The Angel Tree is a program to help families provide gifts for their children at Christmas. If your family needs assistance with gifts for your children ages 0-12, please register by visiting the Salvation Army Gloucester Service Center at 7059 Linda Circle in Hayes. Registration is open from 10 AM – 12 PM and 1 PM – 3 PM, Monday through Thursday.

Angel Tree registration will be available through October 26th. Please see these important instructions and share with those in need!
