Holiday Message from the GRC

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, from your friends at the Gloucester Resource Council! Want to learn more about how to get your organization more involved? All Gloucester serving Non-Profits, Faith-Based Organizations, County Departments, Volunteers and Interested Citizens welcome! See you “Next Year” at our next meeting on Wednesday, January 3rd from 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. in the Community Room at the Gloucester County Library-Virginia!

Salvation Army – Red Kettles

Several more days of bell ringing left before Christmas! The Salvation Army Gloucester still needs volunteers to complete the 2017 Red Kettle season. To volunteer, please call 804-642 3960 or e-mail sandra.thornton@uss.salvationarmy.org  
 
The Red Kettles will be located at the following locations:
Food Lion Courthouse & Point – 11/17 thru 12/23 (Thursday – Saturday Only)
Farm Fresh – 11/03-12/23
ABC store @ York River Crossing – 11/24 thru 12/23 (Friday & Saturday)
Gloucester Pharmacy – 11/24 thru 12/23
Peebles – 11/24 thru 12/23
Tractor Supply – 11/24 thru 12/23, weekends only
Walmart – 11/24 thru 12/23, Grocery and Pharmacy entrance
 
The Salvation Army schedules in 2 hours slots:
10 a.m. – 12 p.m.           2 p.m. – 4 p.m.
12 p.m. – 2 p.m.             4 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Bland Music Competition

Attention all singing and musically inclined students! The Gloucester Lions Club​ will be sponsoring all Gloucester school-aged singers and musicians looking to participate in the Bland Music Competition being held on February 23rd. Top performers will be awarded prizes and/or scholarship money!
