GM Care Clinic’s Casino Night – Vegas by the Bay

The annual Casino Night, Vegas by the Bay will be held at the Abingdon Ruritan Club on Saturday, March 3rd! Proceeds will benefit the Gloucester-Mathews Care Clinic. The sponsors pre-party begins at 6:00 p.m. and general admission is at 7:00 p.m. Casino Night will include Texas Hold’em, roulette wheels, poker, black jack and much more! All casino games are played with fake money.

Puller Center Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Please join VersAbility to celebrate the launch of their digital imaging business at the Puller Center! This event will take place on March 15th, from 5:30-6:15 PM, at VersAbility’s Lewis B. Puller Center (6632 Main Street, Gloucester, VA 23061). This new line of business will create jobs for people with disabilities on the Middle Peninsula/Northern Neck. VersAbility will also host that evening’s Gloucester Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours.

Clean Gloucester Day

The Spring Clean Gloucester Day, a community-wide cleanup event, will be Saturday, March 10, 2018! This spring event will be know as the Blair Farinholt Memorial Clean Gloucester Day. “We wanted to recognize the long-standing commitment of Blair Farinholt to county cleanup efforts. For more than twenty-five years Farinholt organized litter cleanups in Ware Neck and attracted a loyal group of volunteers,” says Leslie Bowie, Clean Community coordinator. Farinholt passed in September 2017.
 
The Clean Gloucester Day held in March 2017 boasted over 700 volunteers collecting 20 tons of trash! For more information about the upcoming cleanup event, contact the Clean Community office at 693-5370 or lbowie@gloucesterva.info. A registration form is also available on the Clean Community website.

Rock’n Rotary

The 4th Annual Rock’n Rotary will be Saturday, February 24th, from 6-10 PM, at the Abingdon Ruritan Club! Tickets are $40 each and include dinner catered by Juan’s, complimentary beverages, and live music by The Ballast Band, Stone’s Throw, and Settle Down Jack. Proceeds benefit local charities and Rotary’s international effort to end the polio disease.
