The Spring Clean Gloucester Day, a community-wide cleanup event, will be Saturday, March 10, 2018! This spring event will be know as the Blair Farinholt Memorial Clean Gloucester Day. “We wanted to recognize the long-standing commitment of Blair Farinholt to county cleanup efforts. For more than twenty-five years Farinholt organized litter cleanups in Ware Neck and attracted a loyal group of volunteers,” says Leslie Bowie, Clean Community coordinator. Farinholt passed in September 2017.
The Clean Gloucester Day held in March 2017 boasted over 700 volunteers collecting 20 tons of trash! For more information about the upcoming cleanup event, contact the Clean Community office at 693-5370 or lbowie@gloucesterva.info.
