Families have an opportunity to learn about an evidence-based discipline program that uses straightforward methods for managing child behavior on Tuesday, February 5th at Botetourt Elementary School from 6:00-7:00 PM. The event includes a meal for families, sponsored by Five Rivers Woman’s Club.
The seminar will be facilitated by Jennifer Tingley, a nationally certified school psychologist who currently serves as the Special Education Coordinator for Gloucester County Public Schools. She has a doctorate in educational administration and served as a school psychologist for 17 years. She’s also a parent of two daughters who enjoys facilitating parent groups.
Based on feedback from participants, upcoming seminars will focus on sibling rivalry and blended families. Participants can attend as many or as few as they deem appropriate or convenient.
The program is sponsored by Gloucester Community Engagement and Gloucester County Public Schools. Space is limited and reservations should be made ahead of time by contacting Valerie Lewis, Engagement Coordinator, at 804-693-0654 or vlewis@gc.k12.va.us
Abingdon Episcopal Church, on Route 17 in White Marsh, Gloucester County, will be hosting the Seraph Brass Quintet in the third concert this season in the Arts at Abingdon Series. The concert will be held Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 5:00 pm at the church. Admission is free but a free-will offering will be accepted.
This year’s Annual Gloucester Educational Foundation 3K/8K Walk/Run will take place Saturday, February 23rd, at Gloucester High School! Race Starts at 9:30 am.
