Tips to Tame Sibling Rivalry

Worn out by listening to constant bickering? Worry that an older sibling’s teasing will do major damage? Referring squabbles and fights all day and night? Learn why siblings fight with each other, factors that influence sibling rivalry, and strategies to manage the chaos. We will also talk about ways to encourage healthy relationship between brothers and sisters.

Health Insurance Programs

If you, or people you know, are still without health insurance for themselves, family members or children, the two programs listed on the flyer are good resources.

Recently the GM Care Clinic raised the allowable income amount to be able to serve more of our community.  The new income guideline is on the attached flyer.

Dealing with Dementia

The Dealing with Dementia program is an evidence-informed educational program of the Rosalynn Carter Institute of Caregiving for family caregivers of those living with dementia to learn supportive resources.
 
During this four hour program, caregivers will receive:
 
– The Dealing with Dementia Guide, a 360 page manual designed for caregivers – available in English and Spanish
– Instruction via trained professionals to navigate through the manual when particular information is needed
– Insights from the trained professionals and peers about dementia caregiving – problems, practices, tips, and self-care.

Gloucester Lion’s Club Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser At The Courthouse Restaurant

The Courthouse Restaurant will be hosting their famous spaghetti dinner fundraiser on Friday, March 8th, from 5:00-7:00 PM. The proceeds from that evening will benefit the Gloucester Lion’s Club, a local non-profit that helps to provide glasses, eye exams, and hearing aids to Gloucester residents in need. Enjoy salad, bread, spaghetti and a drink for only $10 per plate (with takeout options available)!

GM Care Clinic’s Casino Night

The annual Casino Night, Vegas by the Bay will be held at the Abingdon Ruritan Centre on Saturday, March 9th! Proceeds will benefit the Gloucester-Mathews Care Clinic. The sponsors pre-party begins at 6:00 p.m. and general admission is at 7:00 p.m. Casino Night will include Texas Hold’em, roulette wheels, poker, black jack, and much more! All casino games are played with fake money.
