Walk to End Alzheimer’s

The 2019 MP-NN Walk to End Alzheimer’s has returned to Gloucester Main Street!
Alzheimer’s Association – Memories in the Making
Area residents with age-related memory concerns or mild cognitive impairment are invited to take part in “Memories in the Making”®, a program offering participants the opportunity to create their own watercolor paintings. Working with a trained facilitator, participants are encouraged to engage socially, to reminisce about meaningful life moments, individuals or personal interests while creating their painting. The program is offered in an emotionally safe environment that is both fun and designed to encourage communication between families, professional caregivers and persons with dementia. The program will be held April 12, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Gloucester County Library, 6920 Main Street, Gloucester VA. There is no charge for the program, however registration is required.
