Peace Frogs Bank to Bank 2019 Swim

On Saturday May 18th, 2019 the 15th annual Peace Frogs Bank to Bank Swim will take place on the York River in Gloucester, Virginia. This event is a 3-mile open water swim from Felgates Creek, in York County, to Catesby Jones’ house in Gloucester County. The exact time of the swim is to be determined the week before the event so that the tides can be gauged accordingly.
 
The purpose of the Swim is to raise money for the Peace Frogs Bank to Bank Fund, which benefits children of Tidewater, Virginia. The Peace Frogs Bank to Bank Fund is a fund of the Gloucester Community Foundation, which is an affiliate of The Community Foundation serving Richmond and Central Virginia. The swim is open to all who would like to participate. The requirements are as follows:
• Each swimmer must raise at least $1000 for the Peace Frogs Bank to Bank Fund. This money must be raised prior to the swim. Pending pledges are acceptable.
• Each swimmer is responsible for supplying a personal rescue/assistance boat should aid be needed during the swim. Peace Frogs can help arrange a boat/boater as needed.
• Each swimmer must sign a liability waiver that holds no one responsible for their health and well being during the swim.
• Each swimmer must check in at the start of the swim and at the end of the swim with event officials
