Last year, Connected Communities, The GUEST Shelter and numerous churches launched an initiative to help the children of this community collect and obtain the school supplies they needed to go back to school. Prior to the start of the 2018-2019 School year, this community and the amazing people who help support the non-profits in this area helped over 200 children obtain the supplies they needed to go back to school.
The mission over the course of the next month and a half is to collect as many school supplies, donations, and support as we can to help the children in need in this community go back to school with the supplies they need. This not only helps the child but also helps the educator as well. All supplies will be collected on Saturday, August 24th and Sunday, August 25th and then set up Labor Day weekend for distribution.
The current Drop off Locations in the community are: The Silver Box on Main Street and The lobby of the Gloucester County Jail. If you would like to make a donation, those donations can be made Payable to Connected Communities. All donations are tax deductible.
