Bay Aging – TANF

Bay Aging is very pleased to announce the continuation of the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) grant, supported through Bay Aging’s designation as a Community Action Agency.
Applications are due by Friday, November 8 at 4:00pm!
Bay Aging will facilitate a training webinar to provide additional details about the purpose of Community Action and elaborate on Bay Aging’s expectations to assist organizations write successful grant applications. New and previous grant recipients are strongly encouraged to participate. Please RSVP to be sent the webinar invitation.

Gloucester Main Street Trick or Treat!

The Gloucester Main Street Association’s most popular event returns – Main Street Trick or Treat – on Monday, October 31st from 5:30 – 8:00 PM. Over 35 businesses and organizations will participate in this event.

Road closures will be in effect for Main Street from 5:00 – 8:30 PM for all thru traffic. Residents and emergency vehicles will be allowed access.

MPNN Regional Suicide Prevention Awareness Walk – Saturday 11/9/19

The Middle Peninsula Northern Neck CSB Prevention Services Division, in partnership with the Coalition for Healthy Virginia Communities’ Regional Suicide Prevention Task Force, is sponsoring the MPNN Regional Suicide Prevention Awareness Walk:  “Walk for a New Day!”, to be held on Saturday, November 9, 2019, from 10:00am-12:00pm, at the Main Street Center, Parking Lot next to U.S. Post Office, in Gloucester, Virginia.
The primary mission of this task force is to prevent suicide, reduce the stigma associated with suicide, increase awareness and encourage communities to work together to prevent suicide.

Registration is not required, but highly encouraged. Registration can be done here!

A $5.00 donation per person will benefit our Suicide Prevention Awareness Initiatives.  Donations will be accepted the morning of the event.
